What We Do

We serve all child abuse victims from Lonoke, Prairie, and Monroe counties under age 18 after a report has been made to the Child Abuse Hotline. All services provided are free to each family we serve.

What is a Child Advocacy Center?

A Children’s Advocacy Center is a child focused, facility based program in which representatives from many different disciplines- Law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical and victim’s advocacy- work together, conducting joint forensic interviews and making team decisions about the investigation, treatment, management, and prosecution of child abuse cases.

Services offered:

  • Trauma-focused mental health assessments

  • A child-friendly and non-threatening environment

  • Interviews with forensically-trained professionals

  • Specialized Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and an on-site medical exam room

  • Child advocates to assess family needs and provide follow-up, support, and referral services

  • Referrals to onsite mental health professionals or community partners trained in trauma-focused therapy
